Nissan Star Wars Rogue One Experiences

 

Interactive Augmented Reality experiences celebrating the release of the first ever Star Wars spinoff, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Nissan’s Rogue SUV

The Force is Strong With This One

In the lead-up to the release of the first Star Wars spinoff Rogue One, a partnership between the blockbuster film franchise and Nissan’s popular Rogue SUV was almost too perfect. While Spinifex’s production arm put together an amazing press reveal for the Star Wars Rogue One Edition Nissan Rogue, complete with pyrotechnics, X-wings, smoke and lasers, the interactive team went to work designing engagements to complement the reveal.

These experiences were a motion tracking mirror that turned guests into Stormtroopers, along with our AR Battle Test. In the battle test, guests with the Nissan App walked up to a kiosk next to the actual Rogue SUV, placed their phone in a cradle, and followed prompts onscreen while being thrown into the middle of a Rogue Battle Test, complete with a rocky landscape, explosions, a transforming Rogue vehicle, and missiles overlaid in AR all around them.
